What is a Qualified Coupon Code?
Merchants have the ability to configure Qualified Coupon Codes (QCC). These coupon codes are authorized to be used by specific affiliates. A sale using the QCC will reward commission for affiliates that are authorized to use the code. If a non authorized affiliate has a sale with a QCC; the sale will track, but no commission is awarded.
How can I get a Qualified Coupon Code?
A Qualified Coupon Code is negotiated directly with the merchant.
What reports show Qualified Coupon Codes?
Sales that have a Qualified Coupon Code associated with them can be viewed by navigating to the Classic Reports page and running the Sales Commission Details Report. In the 'TransactIon Type' column these sales will be denoted as: SALE (Qualified Code).
How Can I see if a Merchant uses Qualified Coupon Codes?
To view the Coupon Code Rules a merchant is using, navigate to the Merchant Detail's page by clicking on Merchants in the header and then clicking on Details / Apply for a specific merchant. This page will also show if a merchant is using Exclusive Coupon Code and Restricted Coupon Code rules.
I am not authorized to use a Qualified Coupon Code. How can I prevent them from being used?
- Make sure that the Qualified Coupon Code is not displayed on your affiliate website. If it is displayed, change it out with a different promotion.
- Communicate with the merchant. If a large percentage of the sales you are driving are using a Qualified Coupon Code and you are not actively advertising the coupon code, contact the merchant to see if there are other promotions you can use.
