AvantLink’s Custom Link Builder gives affiliates the opportunity to build tracking links to any page on a merchant's website in seconds.
BUILD YOUR CUSTOM LINK
Navigate to Ad Tools > Custom Link Builder. There is also a shortcut to the Custom Link Builder on the affiliate dashboard.
In the Landing Page URL input, you can either:
- Choose merchant's name from list of your active merchant relationships (this will default to the merchant's homepage URL).
- Enter a merchant’s homepage.
- Enter any URL from the merchant website (e.g. a specific product page, etc) you would like to create a tracking link to.
Then click the "Get Link" button.
TRACKING LINK SETTINGS
The tool also provides optional advanced settings that allow for the building and tracking of the performance even easier:
- Select whether you wish the tracking link to take a Hyperlink or HTML format. HTML format will also track impressions.
- Un-check Shorten URL check box to use full link URL. Leave this checked to use AvantLink's shortening service, this is recommended, especially for social media posts.
- AvantLink does not keep a record of the links that each affiliate creates, you can use Custom Tracking Codes to track each of the links you create:
- Add a Custom Tracking Code (CTC) to track the use and performance of the custom link.
- Select the affiliate website that the custom link will be placed (if you maintain more than one website in your AvantLink account).
COPY LINK
A window will open once you click Get Link with your tracking link.
- You can now click "Copy" to copy and use your new link.
- You can share directly to Facebook or X using the dedicated buttons.
