Overview
Traffic and Influencer analytics are available to merchants when Recruiting Affiliates and Reviewing Affiliate Applications.
Metric Definitions
- Affiliate Rating - Based on Sales, Click Throughs, and Conversion Rate in the AvantLink Network for the previous 30 days. This metric is updated daily.
- Affiliate Classification – During the application process, AvantLink designates what type advertising tactics the affiliate will be primarily using. Refer to Common Classifications and Optimization Tactics for more information.
- Website Category - During the application process, AvantLink designates the primary content of the affiliate website.
Traffic Analytics
- Rank - an estimate of Rank based on total traffic. The smaller the number, the higher the traffic that website receives.
- Visits - an estimate of total visits to the website during the previous month.
- Unique Visitors - an estimate of total unique visits to the website during the previous month.
- Pages/Visit - an estimate of how many pages (on average) a person visits in one session on the website.
- Visit Duration - an average estimate of the amount of time spent on the site during each visit. Measured in minutes.
- Bounce Rate - an estimate of the website’s average bounce rate, or percentage of visitors that leave the website after viewing just one page.
Influencer Analytics
- Subscribers – total number of followers/subscribers.
- Media – total count of posts/media.
- Engagement Rate (ER) – percentage of followers who engage with the influencer’s content.
- Audience Quality Score (AQS) – a proprietary metric based on:
- Engagement Rate: percentage of followers who engage with the influencer’s content.
- Quality Audience: a percentage of real people among the influencer’s followers.
- Follower Growth: any abnormal activities detected on follower growth.
- Engagement Authenticity: a percentage of recent likes and comments from real people who don't participate in engagement pods and were not inflated by a tag-to-win giveaway.
FAQ
How are Traffic Analytics calculated?
Traffic analytics are limited to traditional affiliates and are estimates based on clickstream data that comes from 3rd party data sources. An AI algorithm accumulates, cleans, and processes the raw data, giving an accurate view of online journeys and online activity of over 200 million real but anonymized internet users.
Traffic analytics are based on the top-level domain. For example, if an affiliate has the URL wix.com/myaffiliatewebsite the traffic analytics would be based on the domain ‘wix.com’ and not the specific webpage of wix.com/myaffiliatewebsite. Because of this methodology AvantLink does not provide traffic estimates on social media and other platforms because the data would reflect the total traffic to the social media platform and not the individual influencer’s page.
When is the data updated?
Traffic analytics are based on the previous calendar month. AvantLink refreshes the data monthly on the tenth of the month.
Influencer data is refreshed daily in chunks on a rolling schedule. Sometimes the data can have a few days of latency. AvantLink receive data on the following social media platforms: Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, Twitch, and Twitter.
Why do some websites show no traffic/influencer data?
Some websites do not generate enough traffic to calculate a traffic estimate and are left blank.
