The time has come and the months of preparation are about to pay off. Now is the time to review a final checklist to ensure that your program is ready for a successful holiday season.
The Performance Marketing Association webinar outlined a very helpful final checklist as we head into the holiday season. Below we have highlighted suggestions made by top professionals in the industry:
- Ensure website updates are not scheduled during the upcoming holiday events. If updates do occur, contact AvantLink support (support@avantlink.com) immediately.
- Confirm that products are available through the holiday months to anticipate any shortage and sell outs. Ensure your website is updated immediately to reflect sold out products.
- Schedule out affiliate communications ahead of time. Send out separate emails detailing lead up to promotions, when promotions are live, best sellers, and any other additional holiday information, including last chance shipping dates.
- Schedule out your holiday text and banners ads.
- Confirm paid placements are ready. Confirm insertion orders are completely signed and that you have a reminder to collect screenshots of placements (or ask for them). Ensure payments are set, including bonuses and/or commission increases.
- Ensure products whose commissions are different or non-commissionable are set and are part of your program’s terms and conditions. AvantLink’s Item Based Commission tool makes this set up easy.
- Review all discounts and coupon code rules to ensure they accurately reflect your goals.
- For those partnered with loyalty, coupon, and deal sites, ensure that your store pages are updated and accurately reflect your promotions.
- Act on real data and ready additional levers. Continually monitor your program via AvantLink reporting to make informed decisions about your program's performance. Whether your program sales are slower than expected or exceeding expectations, ensure you have a plan of action ready.
