Merchants, by default, are covered by our thorough network level Affiliate Program Terms of Use, but you can also include your own custom terms. Below are examples of common custom terms and conditions including:
- Federal Trade Commission Disclosure
- Pay-Per-Click Guidelines
- User Generated Content
- Website Restrictions
- Nexus Restrictions
EXAMPLES OF COMMON CUSTOM PROGRAM TERMS
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Disclosure
Example:
All affiliates are required to adhere to the Federal Trade Commission guidelines as it relates to disclosing compensation.
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Guidelines
Example:
Tradename and tradename+ bidding of any kind without prior written permission from the merchant is prohibited. Written permissions should be submitted to compliance@avantlink.com before any campaign.
User Generated Content (UGC)
Example:
Affiliates may not advertise coupon codes obtained from non-affiliate marketing channels, including from our website or email newsletter. Any promotions outside of those available on our affiliate program ad campaign list through AvantLink will be considered unauthorized. Permission to use coupon codes outside of what we offer through our program must be supplied in writing to compliance@avantlink.com prior to the launch of any campaign.
Website Restrictions
Examples:
Adult content is prohibited.
Use of our brand name within affiliate website domains is prohibited.
Nexus Restrictions
Example:
As a result of state tax laws, [Merchant] is not able to accept partners residing in the following states [STATES].
NOTE: If your brand has Nexus restrictions, it’s important to list those restrictions first among any other custom terms.
