Editing Standard Email Templates

Merchants have access to three separate email templates to recruit, accept, or deny affiliates into your program. This article will review:


ACCESSING YOUR TEMPLATES

To access all email templates, sign-in to your AvantLink account and navigate to Account>Edit Standard Email Templates. Then select the specific email you wish to update.

Editing each template will take you to a similar message tool and it is up to you to adjust the messages accordingly.

ACCEPTANCE EMAIL EXAMPLE

Insider Tips:

  • Utilize Personalized Tags to ensure your message is tailored to each recipient.
  • Include Ad Campaigns so that your new affiliate can start promoting your brand immediately.
  • Outline any brand rules and guidelines that your affiliates should follow.
  • Include the contact information for your program’s affiliate manager.

 

DENIAL EMAIL EXAMPLE

  • Utilize Personalized Tags to ensure your message is tailored to each recipient.
  • Be courteous.
  • List potential reasons why their application was denied.
  • Encourage the affiliate to contact your team if they want to request a reconsideration of the application.
  • Include the contact information for your program’s affiliate manager.

 

RECRUITMENT OFFER EMAIL EXAMPLE

  • Utilize Personalized Tags to ensure your message is tailored to each recipient.
  • Include details about your affiliate program from your program details page, including:
    • Commission rate
    • Cookie duration
    • Average Order Value
    • Any other details that will entice the offer 
  • Include the contact information for your program’s affiliate manager.

 

GENERAL TIPS & SUGGESTIONS FOR ALL TEMPLATES: 

  • Review all templates on a quarterly basis and update accordingly.
  • Send a preview of the email to ensure that your message is clear.
  • Add a header in the templates to further brand your message (example below).
