Overview
Performance incentive commissions are a structured reward system where affiliates earn increasing commission rates as they reach specific sales thresholds within a calendar month. For example, a merchant might set a threshold of $1,000; once affiliates surpass this in sales, their commission rate increases.
Functionality Summary
- Performance Incentives are based on net sales. Adjustments/Returns are considered when summing up the sales total associated to the performance tier.
- Merchants can apply a higher commission percentage rate when a sales threshold is achieved by the affiliate in a single calendar month.
- Multiple tiers/thresholds can be used. For example: pay 10% total commission if $10,000 of sales are generated and pay 11% if $25,000 of sales are generated.
- Percentage based Performance Incentives are retroactively applied to orders within the same calendar month.
- Performance Incentives can be configured for all affiliates within a merchant's program or to a tag group of affiliates.
- Products that utilize Item Based Commission, will not receive additional commission related to Performance Incentives. IBC products are locked into their commission rate. However, the sales amount associated to IBC product is considered and will be applied to the sales calculation used to determine whether an affiliate achieved the sales threshold.
- Performance Incentives are displayed on the merchant details page where affiliates view the terms and conditions for the merchant program.
